EuroJackpot: Single NRW Ticket Wins €120 Million Jackpot
Published

A single ticket from North Rhine-Westphalia won the €120 million EuroJackpot in the draw on Tuesday, 13 October 2026. WestLotto confirmed that this was the first time the German state had won the full capped amount.
The winning combination was 11, 17, 20, 22 and 35, with Euro numbers 4 and 8. Only one entry matched all five main numbers and both Euro numbers, so the jackpot was not divided between separate winning entries.
A Tuesday entry outside the usual routine
Lotto24 identified the winner as a 35-year-old customer from the Mettmann district, near Düsseldorf. Spokesperson Sebastian Blohm told Mediengruppe Bayern, in comments published by inFranken, that the customer normally played only on Fridays but decided spontaneously to enter Tuesday's draw.
That detail describes the winner's decision, not a way to improve the chances of winning. The result was determined by the drawn combination.
The ninth full €120 million award
WestLotto counted this as the ninth award of the full €120 million amount. Five went to Germany, two to Denmark, one to Norway and one to Czechia. The earlier Czech EuroJackpot win came in May 2026.
The NRW result also exceeded the state's previous high of roughly €110 million, won in May 2022. It reached the game's existing ceiling rather than setting a higher jackpot limit.
There were substantial prizes below the jackpot too. Seven entries matched five main numbers and one Euro number, each winning €2,981,587.20, WestLotto said.
What it means for players
EuroJackpot draws take place on Tuesdays and Fridays. A standard line contains five numbers from 50 and two Euro numbers from 12. If you are checking a ticket, match it to the correct draw date and check both sets of numbers. The €120 million reported here belongs to the 13 October result, not a current jackpot offer.
