About Lotto Wonga: Who We Are and How We Work

Published

Every week, somewhere in the world, a ticket that cost a few dollars or euros turns into a fortune. Millions of people play for that moment. Very few of them read the rules first. Lotto Wonga exists for the minute before the ticket: the minute when you want to know what you are really playing, when the draw happens, how the number format works and who actually pays the prize if your numbers come up.

What Lotto Wonga is

Lotto Wonga is an independent information site about the world's big lottery draws. We explain games such as Powerball, Mega Millions, EuroMillions, EuroJackpot and SuperEnalotto in plain language and in ten languages, so that a player in Madrid, Munich or Helsinki can understand a game drawn thousands of kilometres away as easily as the local lotto.

We do not run lotteries, we do not hold draws and we do not sell tickets. We explain, we compare and we show you where you can play, and we are open about how that last part works.

What you will find here

  • Guides to lottery games. Every game in our lottery games section has its own page: country or region, draw days, number format, the steps to play a line and how prizes work. Jackpots change with every draw, so our guides never quote a fixed jackpot.
  • Live results. The results bar near the top of every page shows the latest winning numbers and current jackpots, loaded from our partner's lottery data and refreshed throughout the day.
  • Reviews of lottery services. Our reviews explain how online lottery services work, whether they buy official tickets for you or take bets on the results, what they cost and what to check first. We do not hand out stars or scores.
  • Lottery news. In our news section we cover big jackpot wins, based on official lottery announcements and established news outlets, with the source named in every story.

How we write and check our content

A lottery page is only useful if it is right. Before we publish a game guide, we check the draw days and the number format against official or well established sources, because these details do change: games add draws, change their number pools or raise their prices. When something changes, we update the page.

We follow a few simple rules. We do not invent winners, figures or quotes. We do not promise that any system improves your chances, because none does: in a fair draw every combination has exactly the same chance. And we write in plain language, because the people who need clear information most are often the ones playing for the very first time.

How Lotto Wonga is funded

Lotto Wonga is free to read. The site is funded through Lottery Partner, the affiliate program of AgentLotto. When you click a Play button on our site and play through AgentLotto, we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. Our Play buttons always pass through our own short links first, so it is clear when you are leaving Lotto Wonga.

This relationship does not decide what we write. Our reviews cover other services too, and our AgentLotto review explains its costs and limits as plainly as the others. The details are on our affiliate disclosure page.

What we are not

  • We are not a lottery operator, and we cannot check, claim or pay out prizes.
  • We are not a ticket seller: tickets and bets are provided by the services you choose.
  • We are not financial or legal advisers. The rules for online lottery play differ from country to country, and it is up to you to check what is allowed where you live.

Playing responsibly

Lottery games are for adults aged 18 or older, or the legal age where you live if that is higher. A lottery ticket is entertainment, not an investment and never a way out of money problems. Set a budget before you play, never chase losses and take a break when playing stops being fun. The decision to play is always yours, and so is the decision to stop.

Ten languages, one site

Lotto Wonga is published in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish and Finnish. Every language follows the same structure, so when you switch language with the globe icon in the header, you land on the same page in your language whenever it exists.
